I knew from the baby books that the next one would come faster so it was no surprise when I heard “more pressure” so soon. “She’s almost here.” I encourage Niall to stay calm. Then we heard, over the first baby’s crying, “Baby b is another pretty little girl!” Then more crying hits my ears as she too is held up. Something had to be wrong though. She was darker then the first baby. That wasn’t normal right? I didn’t dare say a word however. I didn’t want to scare anyone. Besides, they were both screaming and every book I’d ever read said that’s the most telling sign that they are healthy. ~Z
When I finally hear the second cry I let a smile come across my face, both of them were alive, and what seemed to be healthy since they cried. I didn’t say anything though, I still had my stomach cut open so that wasn’t a very good thing to keep smiling. I knew I wouldn’t be in this room much longer. ~N
